SONG 2006
DVD projection, silent, black and white 60 min loop, commission for the REVEAL event in the Forest of Dean April 2006.
SONG was projected at night from three 10,000 lumen projectors placed in a row along a forest path at 25 metre intervals. They were directed onto an enormous bank of bare pine tree trunks 50 metres away.
Flickering vertical strips of light occupied a huge swath of forest, sometimes illuminating specific tree trunks, sometimes the forest deep behind, to create an effect somewhere between visual music, a giant barcode and a lightning storm.
